Why do you need a Will

Your Will sets out the manner in which you want your property to be divided between your loved ones upon your passing. You work hard for your money so you should be in control of what happens to it when you pass away. Regardless of how much or how little you have, leaving a valid Will ensures that your assets and family heirlooms go to the people that you have chosen. A well prepared Will can also mitigate the likelihood of any family disputes arising in relation to your estate following your passing.

Approximately half of all Australians die without leaving a valid Will. If you die without leaving a valid will, you will have died intestate. That means that your assets will be divided in accordance with the rules of intestacy and your assets may not end up with the people that you want them to go to.

The death of a loved one is a difficult and upsetting time for most. Having a valid Will assists your loved ones to deal with your assets and the often complex matters that arise following a person's passing.
